THIS WAS HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE & VEGETABLE!

The skin colour didn't turn brown;

The tart skin was too thin;

Something went wrong and the skin wouldn't come out from the mold;

The tart skin cracked;

The fillings flowed out;

EVERYTHING WAS A DISASTER!

Just look at it,

it looked like a erupted volcano!

However,

they tasted quite good =X

Anyway,

the moral of the story is

NEVER MAKE THIN TART SKINS!

It supposed to taste VERY RICH in chocolate
but it will be too difficult to eat by then,
so I cut down the amount of chocolate in the recipe,
so it tasted better.

However,
I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE I MADE ICE CREAM~~
XD

and tried some buns as lunch..

OH~

I LOVE THEIR BREAD SHELF'S DESIGN!!

Interesting and thoughtful at the same time!

What a brilliant idea!!

AND

Look at these cute little buns~!!

The chocolate was actually named U.F.O something.. ><

( I couldn't remember all their names )

The green tea powder on top of the bun was sort of bitter

but the fillings were alright. =)

But the German Potato disappointed us a little

because it tasted like normal buns with potato in the center. =/

Luckily the UFO was chocolaty-belly-good~ XD

These are not bad too

but they didn't give us a strong "WOW!"

Then we tried some other..

These are really their names =O

The "Rock" has the shape of a real rock if you view from its side,

whereas the "Almond Leaf" was SWEET ><

it supposed to be bigger in size but "Magazine" was lying on it.

I know right,

MAGAZINE what a name for a bun HAHA

I wonder why it's named after that..?

Inside THE MAGAZINE was chocolate fillings.

One of the beverages was this,

Espresso - RM 4.80

(single shot)

It was SUPER TINY —— CUTE!!!!

But the taste was murdering!

It was bitter and just not what we usually drink

BUT

it was SO CUTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

榴莲泡芙 Durian Cream Puff

Whee~

It's durian season!

For your information,

During is the king of fruits.

I wonder why is it named so?

Perhaps it's because of their pointy shells which look like the king's crown,

maybe~

When I was still a little kid,

I did not dare to taste this fruit

due to it's sometimes-bitter-flesh.

But I was lucky to have a durian-and-daughter-lover-mummy,

whenever I bump into bitter durians,

she'll finish them for me.

However,

whenever she meets up with sweet durians,

she leaves them for me.

How considerate of her

But now that I've grown up,

I can stand bitterness,

no matter in meals or in life.

This is how we collect the flesh with the civilized method

—— using forks. X)

Then this and that,

following the recipe,

and WALLAH!

A Durian Cream Puff was born !

Schnuffel and Chris couldn't stand the smell and roll down the stairs to be my model.

when the puffs are bottled up..

but something went wrong..

So we have extra custard fillings..

Due to my all-time-curiosity,

I wrapped them in Paratha and enlighten the Paratha by topping them up.

This is the inside view.

Surprisingly,

they tasted not bad~

The Paratha had the perfect stickiness and soft texture,

when combined with the bitter-sweet-durian,

it was just UNBELIEVABLE!

There were still some durians in the fridge,

so....

I made DURIAN PANCAKES,

So I made them too~

But there's some slight difference in the ingredients list that I used.

I've used Hazelnuts instead of Almonds because I was short of them

but they tasted SPLENDID!

It's Christmas Eve!

Cuddly's friends came for caroling at his house.

They went around his tall Christmas tree

and

recalled the meaning of Christmas.

Our Lord Jesus was born on this day,

He came to this world just to give us eternal life..

Pinna: " Shall we turn off the lights? It doesn't feel like Christmas Eve Night to me "

Freddy: " OK! Dark Knights are my favorite! "

Pinna: " It's Dark NIGHT, you silly~ "

Everyone giggled.

- Lights off -

Cuddly: " Hey, who turned off the lights? "

Bretty: " Freddy did! He must be trying to sleep in the dark without us knowing! "

Cuddly: " But guys, I can't see my strings, how am I suppose to play the songs? "

Pinna: " Oh alright.. *sighs* "

While the teddys were caroling,
little dwarf was looking from above but nobody noticed..

" Someone is lucky this year! " praised little dwarf.

The teddys sang and sang and enjoyed wonderful stories..

Until..

Freddy: " *Yawns* Can we sleep now? I don't want to look like cousin panda! "

Bretty: " Urghh.. You sleepy head, I think you originated from the pigs' family! "

Freddy: " WHY YOU!!! "

Cuddly: " Guys!!! Have you forgotten something? It's Christmas Eve! So let's sleep earlier tonight and wake up early tomorrow morning, what do you say? "

Pinna: " Yup, early to bed, early to rise, sounds good to me! "

Freddy and Bretty stern at each other and replied: " Yes, Sir! "

After washing and cleaning themselves,

Christmas Special #1 : Cuddly & Guitar

Hi everyone!

I would like you to meet Cuddly..

Cuddly is a very talented teddy,

that is why many people like him.

One day...

Cuddly saw a huge wire guitar on his way back home..

" WOW! " Amazed Cuddly.

He then approached it slowly with his tiny little feet..

" This is one huge guitar! "

Cuddly won many awards as a musician in Teddy Town

and is a well-known professional musician.

However,

he had never came across guitars bigger than him!

Furthermore,

that was a guitar made of wires!

He climbed HIGH..

and LOW..

BACK..

and FORTH..

" This really is a guitar! "

Shock struck Cuddly like a thunderbolt.

" ..but.. does it work? " Cuddly doubted.

Cuddly sat on the huge wire guitar and tested the strings..

" OH! IT'S REAL! THIS IS SO UNBELIEVABLE~ "

Anyhow,

the guitar was way too big and heavy for Cuddly,

so he decided to make one for himself too!

Mr. Kukumalu is the salesman of wires.

He would rather stay indoors than to visit the great outdoors

because he's a shy person.

" Hi sir, can I buy some wires from you, please? "

" Oh hey Cuddly! Why, of course! Here you go! "

" Thank you, sir! "

Cuddly rushed home with his wires and started his "project"...

A little twist here..

And a little twist there..

" That should do the trick! "

Wallah!

A brand new wire guitar with suitable size just for Cuddly!

Cuddly couldn't wait to take photos with his brand new guitar..

Cuddly also created a handy ring to make sure his guitar do not slip off without him knowing..

I found this interesting and easily made recipe from Jasmineの幸福小屋

Simply attracting~

It's full of peanuts and sesame!

You can even smell the aroma when thinking of it~

Mmmm...Ahhh~

But I've never tried muah chee in my whole life,

I wonder how does it taste like..?

Anyway,

the ingredients seem simple to me,

why not give it a try?

So with the help of my chef at home,

we made them!!!

They smell so nice~

And when they are in your mouth,

the aroma of peanut mixed with sesame,

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

THUMBS UP !

But I believe mine is not as good as the others,

so I will do more research and try them again next year~

布朗尼 Brownies

We're planning to have an event on Christmas Day this year

so we'll need a cake or a brownie for a change, perhaps?

So I decided to make a test try

and found this recipe from youtube but...

I don't know why,

it tasted weird to me.

Too sweet and the vanilla essence covered the chocolaty taste.

But thanks to my family,

my all time supporters,

they wallop them all... in a week's time.

OF COURSE IT MUST TAKE A WEEK!

Do you know how sweet that thing is?!!

The recipe used 200g of sugar but I already cut them down to 150g,

YET THEY TASTED LIKE "DIABETES"!

Have you seen brownies like these???

I haven't.. until now..

Even I myself can't stand the smell and the taste,

how can I aspect others to accept it?

That moment,

I felt like digging a hole and hibernate in it for the rest of my life!

Man,

I'll never try that recipe EVER AGAIN!

I've never tasted a real brownie before,

that's why I did not know which recipe was the best.

But since they said this recipe will have a crispy topping and a moist filling,

this should be the best!

BUT WHY?

The next day,

my thoughtful mummy bought a high-class brownie for us to try..

Try guessing where was it from~

IT'S FROM......

SECRET RECIPE!!!

To me,

the chocolate one tasted like normal moist chocolate cake only sweeter,

whereas the carrot cake was solid but nice.

Anyway,

my first brownie was a bad experience

but

on the other hand,

I could try the high-class brownie because of it!

Looks like I'm pretty well-blessed too, right?

黑芝麻牛油小蛋糕 Black Sesame Muffins

Recipe from: Ching

I've always wanted to make something out of black sesame

although this recipe shouldn't use black sesame

but my eyesight was terrible that time

so I prepared the wrong ingredient.

However,

I found out that the recipe was edited from black sesame to black glutinous rice,

so YAY!

First,

I fried the sesames without oil.

Then,

I inserted them into a plastic bag

and smashed them into powder with a mug.

I know it sounds a little weird

but I'm just using whatever I have and the simplest method to get what I need.

It worked anyway~

I almost cracked my head just to think of the best way to snap a photo of them.

Suddenly,

I saw something..

WHAT A BRILLIANT IDEA!!!!

it was

AN EGG TRAY~

This is the inside view..

LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of black sesame ^^

They tasted really nice and soft~

Aww they were just incredibly yummy!

自制巧克力 Homemade Chocolate

Wow! I can make chocolates on my own!

I got the idea from Singapore's Culinary Show called 加减成厨.

I must say, they really are creative!

Few months ago,

I bought some quality chocolate, Felchlin (imported from Switzerland)

from Pastry Pro.

They are pure chocolates with different percentages of bitterness

but they taste FINGER LICKING GOOD!

According to the sales lady,

our local chocolates aren't as good as them

because most of the local chocolates are not pure,

as in combined with other substances.

Whereas these are totally PURE!

In fact, they'll melt if you place them in your pocket.

(That's what she told me)

Anyhow,

all you need to do is....

Materials:
An ice cube tray

Ingredients:
Felchlin Chocolate (or easily melt chocolates)
Cashew nuts
Mint-taste sweets (eg: Mentos)

Method:
1. Place some chocolate bits in the ice cube tray as the base.
2. Insert a cashew nut and a Mentos into each.
3. Cover the ingredients above with another layer of chocolate bits as the top layer.
4. Heat the tray of chocolates in a microwave oven until they melt.
5. Leave them to cool at room temperature.
6. Place the tray into the freezer for a few hours.
7. Serve them when they are completely frozen.

NOTE:
1. In the show, they used solar energy to melt the chocolates but I made them at night so I heated them. However, make sure your ice cube tray can stand heat / do not melt easily.
2. If the mentos are heated, they appear like bombed-mentos but have no fear, just be sure to stir the chocolates with a teaspoon till smooth.
3. I made them at night so I froze them till the next morning.
4. Be sure to eat them quickly when being served or else they'll melt in no time.
5. ENJOY =D

蛋挞 Egg Tarts

Yay! I finally managed to test them~

Yippie~

I used to love eggs very much when I was young

but

something changed my mind soon after that.

However,

I never hate them.

I have always wanted to make them but

I wonder why are there so many different ingredients used

yet producing the same product in the end?

Sometimes I find condensed milk in the ingredients list,

sometimes I find some other ingredients that seemed like extras to me.

Fortunately,

I found this RECIPE!

The inner look of the tart -
Thin, soft crust on the outside &
smooth thin egg custard inside.

My tarts are rather thinner than usual ones

because my molds are thin

but they still taste good.

The only weak point is that the tarts will break easily

due to its large yet thin shape.

Oh well,

it's a good experience~

红薯蛋糕 Sweet Potato Cake

Did you know sweet potatoes are rich in fiber?

WHAT?!

You never heard of SWEET POTATOES?

Follow me~

This is how the mighty fiber factory looks like!

I found the recipe from a cookbook and since there were extras so I gave them a try~

This is how the cut out looks like..

Many would say it's YUCKY and DISGUSTING

because it will cause 'break winds' (farts)

but according to researches,

sweet potatoes are healthy food,

they are good helpers in improving bowel movements

yet tasty at the same time!

Maybe they don't look as tasty as it sounds from this picture

but this cake is really soft and taste just right!

The texture is a little similar to sponge cakes,

so it's worth a try! :D

FYI

For every recipe,

结果制造了4种口感的玛芬~

今天心血来潮，

想制作糕点，

所以翻阅了我亲手记录的食谱笔记~

结果看上了它！

可惜，

家里没有柳橙汁，也没有栗米油…

于是，

我灵机一动，

以酸甘拌蜂蜜取代柳橙汁；

再以牛油替代栗米油~

然而成品的结果……

我承认我的成品并没有原本的小巧可爱，

不过希望大家多多包涵，

因为我还是初学者~ ><

其实，

我也使用了silicon模子，

只是类型不同。

我用的是意大利进口的连体模子，

所以会有些许差别~

有机会的话下回再让你们看看好了！

或许是因为这种模子比原本所需的模子大一倍，

所以所需的时间也多了一倍，

加上，

模子太大导致锅盖无法完全盖上，

所需的时间就这样增加了不少…

因此，

我把另一半的面团用烘炉烘焙，

以减少时间，

味道还相当不赖哦~

烘烤的温度是100摄氏度；

时间大约25-30分钟。

这就是烘制而成的哟~ 嘻嘻

下次，

我一定会具备所需的材料再下厨！

Today was indeed a memorable day!

Form 5s and upper 6s graduated..

Somehow I felt lonely and afraid because I can no longer depend on seniors whenever I need one

but

life goes on~

Besides,

we have God leading the way,

what more should we ask for?

Next year will be a long journey

to learn

self-discipline, independent, to be wise

and

lead the way~

Back to today....

Many seniors came back to capture photos with us,

some even gave us presents!

As usual,

I couldn't afford much

so I gave them oreo muffins instead~

Luckily,

they were a success!

The recipe made it tasted really good

and with additional raisins and super delicious oreo

it was a scrumptious combination!

I love to see the smile on their faces!

Although my muffins aren't as high class as those in five star hotels

but I hope they could feel the sincerity in them.

Eventually,

some of them really appreciated them.

I was really touched and happy!

I have this extraordinary feeling which is

whenever my friends are happy,

I will be happy~

True happiness is always much more precious and valuable than a made up one

and I'm pretty sure when I see one.

Oh well,

Today's Form 5 and Form 6's graduation day!

It's hard to say goodbye but we can only accept reality..

I hope to give my seniors one last good memory of us but couldn't find anything special enough,

so I decided to make them one of my successful products - OREO MUFFINS!

This time the Oreo used were filled with different fillings,

so they had a unique smell and taste.

Of course,

not forgetting God's blessings,

the muffins came out wonderful compared to the pass few batches!

So besides showing my gratitude to the seniors,

I too packed some for my wonderful friends!

However,

I would like to apologize to those who did not receive one.

I have to say,

they are limited edition,

so I really couldn't afford to give to everyone

but if you really want them,

just give me a call

and I'll bring them to you (restricted to PJ district only)! :D

I finally tried out this chocolate cake~~

MMMmmmm MMmm~!!

Oh oh!!!

To all those beginners out there,

please think thrice before you decide to make this cake~

The recipe is kinda tricky

and

the procedures are tiring~

I've never done a cake in such a confusing and tiring way~

NEVER ><

Unfortunately,

my (what do you call that? ><) baking bowl was too small,

so during the heating process,

my cake GREW TALLER.

Hahahahahaha XD

BUT!

That was totally WRONG!

If you look at the picture on top closely,

you notice that

this cake

looks just like a

HUGE molten chocolate cake

when it SHOULDN'T be one.

T^T

The recipe stated to heat for 50 minutes

BUT

after 1 hour 30 minutes,

the center is still not cooked~

TOT

But I can't wait anymore,

so we tried it.

Surprisingly,

it's rich and nice!

Especially the center,

the moist part ♥♥♥♥♥

A friendly reminder to those who wanna make this:

You don't have to cut down the sugar in the recipe

because it really ISN'T sweet AT ALL!

For safety,

I cut down the sugar from 180g to 150g

so it was bitter than what it suppose to taste like

but

I do like the taste

since I don't like cakes which are too sweet.

So if you wanna eat healthy,

cut down like me ^O^

(but not too much)

Oh another reminder:

Don't eat it immediately,

unless the center is moist like mine

or else

eat them on the next day,

it will taste nicer.

AND

IT'S VERY RICH!

One slice will keep you full enough~ X)

so my awesome daddy brought us out to try the

NASI KUKUS!

We actually went through FOUR tolls

just to taste it! O.O

It's a RM 5 dish

but it does worth the price.

We also tried their fish~

They are actually 2 different kind of fish.

One with a black meat

while the other with a hard skin.

However,

this is price-killing!

Do you know why?

Each of them costs RM 4.oo! @@

Haha

but the nasi kukus was really worth it!

Dad said that

everyday, many people will line up

just to buy it,

especially during lunch time.

Besides the first try during the culinary camp,

I've never made marble cake before.

So I guess this is my first experience on my own X)

I did them based on the recipe on a self-rising flour's box.

I tried to recall what we've done last culinary camp,

and this turned out~

However,

I FAILED.

The cake didn't rise so the texture wasn't nice

BUT

did you notice something in the picture?

Spot anything in the picture above??

Although the cake does appear like one

BUT

it's still a failed product =/

but I won't give up!

I'm gonna challenge it again~ XD

This is my 3rd time challenging this muffin~

The first 2 rounds weren't really successful

so I tried them again! XD

This time,

I added in 8 oreo biscuits to increase its taste.

Apparently,

it was YUMMY! ^^

This was the oreo used

but

I did remove the fillings in them

so it didn't really matter. =)

First try out last month:

Ya, I know~

They look like volcano muffins,

an unexpected effect =S

Since the recipe stated to fill up the entire paper mold,

I followed

but

it was quite saddening

as they were a little overcooked

and

they had a crunchy surface instead of a soft, spongy one. =/

However,

since it was first try,

I still decorated it a little.. X)

The second time challenging,

and tastes better too!

For your information,

It's better to add lots and lots of raisin to have a better taste though~ ^^

黄金沙丁酥 Golden Mackerel Puff

Hi guys!

This is my first specialty to share with everyone~

For your information,

this scrumptious puff is made with PARATHA!

Yup~

It may be unbelievable but it's true! :D

One fine day,

I found a blog that publishes post about food and baking products.

I was stunned when I found out there were more and more and more

similar blogs on the net.

However,

I somehow got attracted by one of the recipes on net,

which is this,

with the original name — 沙丁鱼酥 (sardine puff)

(p/s: click on the name to view its original recipe)

It was just wonderful to find out that Paratha can be used as the crust of a puff.

Thanks to this creative cook — Ching

I know can bake some tummy-tickling puff! ^^

I did not follow her recipe but I did refer to hers to get the idea of making a sardine puff.

This is roughly the recipe:

Ingredients:

Roti paratha — 1 packet（with 5 inside)

Canned Mackerel Fish — 1 small can

Onion — 1 big or small (depends on your taste)

Some Chilly Sauce

~THAT'S ALL :D~

Method:

1. Slice the onions (note: not in cubes)

2. Remove the bones of the mackerel fish with spoon and fork, separate them into small, fine meat.

3. Fry the onions with a little oil, add in the mackerel fish, add some chilly sauce to increase its tastiness (note: the chilly sauce isn't hot) and mix them well.

4. Separate them into five portions.

5. Take out one Paratha, put in one portion of the fillings, fold them neatly (note: my folding method is different from the owner of this recipe).

6. Wipe on some egg yolk to give it a shiny look.

7. Put them on a tray and enter the preheated oven with 160'C for 20 min until it shows the golden effect.

This was my first try,

where I followed most of the methods in Ching's blog,

which was to poke holes with a fork on the surface of the puff.

Sadly,

as you can see,

it doesn't have a nice look.

Besides,

that very first time,

I used a big canned mackerel fish to make it.

Hence the fillings were overloading and

covered the tastiness of the Paratha.

The next time I tried to take the challenge again,

I ran out of big canned mackerel fish,

so I used the small one.

At the same time,

I accidentally forgotten to poke the holes on their surfaces.

But what do you know?

This was a wonderful accident!

Take a look :-D

The third time making this delicacy,

I built up my experience

and

successfully made a golden mackerel puff!

Thank God!

For once,

my absent-minded disease helped me created a new recipe! X)

REGULATION for DONORS :-

‎1. Sleep at least 8 hours .
2. Must eat your breakfast before donating .
3. Can only be involved in sports 24 hours after donating .
4. Can only donate blood 3 months after the last donation date .
5. 17 years old and above .
6. 45 kg and above .
7. Healthy and not sick . Have to recover a week before if one is sick .
8. Cannot donate if one has undergone tattooing or body piercing .
9. Cannot donate if one did any dental treatment within 24 hours .
10. Cannot donate if one did a minor operation within 6 months ,
while major operation within a year .
11. Cannot donate if one has period . It mist be 3 days after .
12. Cannot donate if one has stayed or visited UK AND EUROPE
during 1980-1996 for more than 6 months as there was a ' mad cow decease ' .
13. Cannot donate if one is pregnant , currently breast feeding ,
had delivered or had an abortion within 6 months .

Today's a Sunday which means a day to worship God in church! =D

Today's preach is more or less about "Happy Life" (快乐人生）;
Spoken by Professor/Pastor Lee (李顺长牧师博士）.
[Professor/Pastor Lee is the chairman of the Fei Yang Association,
often invited to Europe, the United States, parts of Taiwan to give speeches,
and he is also an international speaker.]

I must say Professor/Pastor Lee is a bubbly person
who is always grateful for whatever he has or gone through.

Here's one of the contents in his speech which was very meaningful:

Happiness doesn't come as a result of
getting something we don't have,
but rather of recognizing and appreciating
what we do have.

So let's learn to be thankful for whatever we are having! :)

we tried out a restaurant in SS2.

We tried some of their highlighted dishes, such as..

The highlighted dishes were not just in name only, but also in reality!
They have unique smell and taste that leads to ho chak! XP
The restaurant even has Ice Kacang as their dessert!
Since it was a special day,
we tried them too! x)

望着红彤彤的太阳慢慢钻进被窝，

同时与家人一同分享看日落的喜悦，
啊~
那种感觉真的很棒！

Detective for a Day

Today's the day that I've been waiting for!
I'm really glad that Florence could accompany me for this event~ ^^
Thanks mui!

First, we had station games as warm up event.
These games involved every part of our body including our sensory organs!
Unfortunately,
we weren't able to play the last game. T.T

Next, we watched a movie 《天使之城》,
it's a Hong Kong movie.
It has it's meaning in it but it's a little draggy and complicated. xP

Then, we had lunch!
Which was the moment Flo had been waiting for. xD

Finally, we reached the main game of the day!
Detective game~!! ^^
We were like young detectives,
trying to search for clues to find the murderer.

Although we didn't win any prize,
it's a fun experience,
especially when you're with your besty! ^^

I enjoyed myself,
and I think Florence enjoyed too! =D
Hope we can join these events together again!

Whee~
We had outing at Sunway Pyramid today! ^^

Qin Yi and Pui Teng reached at 10.30am.
They told me Ee Lain, Yap Min, Lee Chia and some others reached too.
However,
when I reached at 11.10am,
I called Ee Lain and Yap Min but
Ee Lain said she wouldn't go
whereas Yap Min said she was in her house's toilet.. -.-
Now thinking back,
who will bring their cellphone into the toilet? ><
Anyway,
at last I called Han Khai.
Luckily he arrived and was at the main entrance! ^^
But those who arrived were all boys! T.T
Luckily I had Qin Yi and Pui Teng together with me! xD

we went to watch

Today's the BIG day!
It's the inter-class English Drama Competition with the theme
"The Phantom of The Opera"

The competition starts right after the assembly finishes,
which is 1.10pm.

So..
We reached school at 9 am this morning to do some preparations and had some practices.

Firstly,
we moved the tables and chairs to have a wider space for us to practice in class.
Then we cleaned the classroom.

The performance went quite well
although scene 10 was cut very suddenly.
Unfortunately,

The competition ended at 4pm+
